Virtual Analogue Synthesizer

Studiologic Sledge Virtual Analogue Synthesizer

it is said that it is the particular interaction of the sound engine and user  interface that makes a great instrument.
Get hands-on with the Studiologic Sledge virtual-analog synthesizer - you've got 35 knobs at your fingertips, enough to satisfy the tweakiest synth fanatic. The sound is rich and powerful, probably because Sledge uses the acclaimed modeling and filter technology from Waldorf - another top name in synthesis. And you'll instantly appreciate how expressive and responsive this sound engine is when you get your hands on the 5-octave Fatar TP-9 keybed. At Sweetwater, we love synths that pack a lot of control into an intuitive interface, and that's what you get with the Studiologic Sledge.

Classic oscillator types plus PPG Wave digital wavetablesYou've got a lot of sonic options when you sit down to create new sounds on the Studiologic Sledge. You'll find the usual oscillators you'd expect like saw, square, triangle, sine, and sample & hold and ramp too. But Sledge also packs a surprise - 66 digital wavetables from the revered PPG Wave synthesizer. So, with Sledge you can create everything from analog-style '70s synth bass, to modern, aggressive dubstep sounds, and cover a lot of sonic territory in between too.Create epic sounds with 8-voice polyphony, and three oscillators per voiceWhether you like stacking similar tones to create monster leads, or tweak out on creating multi-layered atmospheric drones, you're in luck with Sledge. And beyond stacking oscillators, there's a lot of sound-twisting potential here too. Oscillators 2 and 3 can be hard-sync'd, sine and triangle waveforms can be frequency modulated, and there's a noise generator with selectable white/pink noise. Factor in two LFOs per voice, self-oscillating Waldorf filters, and a powerful arpeggiator, and you'll see there's decades of fun to be had with Sledge.Inspires you to performWith over 30 knobs for you to get your hands on, Sledge is perfect for performing with. Heck, even if you're just producing in your studio and send Sledge a MIDI sequence from your DAW, something about its intuitive layout just begs you to reach out and add some human animation to the sound. Between the fantastic-feeling Fatar keybed and the generous amount of control options, you'll quickly find yourself playing the synthesizer, not just music notes - and isn't that really what makes a great synth?
